Built around your project

Predictable design with practical everyday performance.

Quartz combines engineered consistency with a wide range of colors and vein styles. HDZ measures, fabricates and installs quartz for kitchens, bathrooms, offices, reception areas, hospitality counters and other residential or commercial surfaces.

Quartz is nonporous and straightforward to maintain, but it still requires informed planning. Slab size, pattern repeat, seam locations, heat exposure, edge details and support conditions all shape the final result.

For homeowners

Quartz works well for busy homes that want a refined look with less routine maintenance than many natural stones.

  • Review heat limitations and use trivets near hot cookware and appliances.
  • Confirm pattern direction and seam expectations on dramatic veined designs.
  • Coordinate sink, faucet, cooktop and backsplash details before fabrication.
  • Use approved cleaners and avoid harsh abrasives.

For commercial clients

Consistency and easy cleaning make quartz attractive for many client-facing and staff spaces, provided product limitations and warranty conditions fit the application.

  • Verify the selected product is approved for the intended commercial use.
  • Avoid prolonged UV exposure unless the product is specifically rated for it.
  • Plan repeatable details across suites, stations or multi-unit scopes.
  • Coordinate access, protection and installation timing with other trades.

Important to know

Better information creates better expectations.

Quartz is engineered, but not indestructible. High heat, outdoor UV exposure, unsupported overhangs and abrasive chemicals can cause damage. Understanding those limits helps clients protect the surface and choose the right product for each location.

Does quartz need to be sealed?

Most quartz surfaces are nonporous and do not require sealing. Follow the manufacturer’s care guidance for the specific product.

Can quartz be used outdoors?

Many quartz products are not intended for sustained outdoor UV exposure. Confirm a product’s warranty and rating before outdoor use.

Will the seams disappear?

Seams are made neat and structurally sound, but they are not invisible. Their placement depends on slab size, pattern, access and support.

Is quartz heatproof?

Quartz is heat resistant, not heatproof. Use trivets and avoid placing very hot cookware directly on the surface.
